What is Bison Tallow ?
Tallow is rendered animal fat, meaning the fat has been cooked slowly to separate the pure fat from connective tissues. This creates a holistic moisturizer rich in vitamins A, D, E, K, and B12—nutrients that are biocompatible with our skin’s cells, allowing them to soak in deeply and lock in moisture without clogging pores. Tallow is naturally antimicrobial, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory, thanks to the conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) and skin-nourishing omegas 7 & 9 found within it.
While often compared to beef tallow, bison tallow has its own unique qualities. It contains a slightly higher ratio of unsaturated fats, giving it a lighter, softer texture that absorbs easily and leaves a smooth, non-greasy finish.
